Mr. Hollon has more than twenty-five years of professional accounting experience and has been in private practice since 2004. He has personally conducted and supervised financial audits for many types of organizations, including municipalities, water works boards, corporate and small business, and non-profit entities. Mr. Hollon has significant experience with 401(k), 403(b), and other employee benefit plans. Gregg served twenty-one years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and twelve years in civil service before establishing a CPA practice in Prattville AL, which is twelve miles from Montgomery, the state capitol.
Gregg began his career in 1988 as an accounting technician in the 42nd Air Base Wing Accounting Squadron at Maxwell AFB, AL. He routinely submitted reports to resource advisers, performed budget analysis, and managed civilian payroll for approximately 2400 Federal employees.
In the year 2000, Gregg joined a small CPA firm located in Montgomery, Al. area as a senior staff accountant.There he learned the intricacies of compilations, reviews, and audits on non-profit agencies, schools, business entities, & financial institutions.
Recognized for his work in the public sector, Gregg was recruited by the state of Alabama as a revenue examiner in 2001 where he served with distinction in the business privilege tax section, reviewing corporate balance sheets, federal returns, and financial statements for proper filing.
Having gained substantial experience and expertise in public sector accounting with the US Air Force, The State of Alabama, and a respected regional accounting firm, Gregg began private practice in 2005. Since opening, he has provided ongoing controllership and benefit plan audit services to small and medium businesses as well as municipal and public utility audit services.
Mr. Hollon has been an instructor for Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU), a faith-based financial education program designed to help families improve their financial fitness. He is an Alabama native and lives in Prattville with his wife and daughter. Gregg also enjoys hunting, fishing, NASCAR Racing, golf, motorcycling, and Auburn football.
